Tuition expectations and due dates
Breakthrough Vocals is an all-ages, year-round, virtual music and coaching studio and is not tied to an academic calendar. Tuition is presented as a yearly balance, paid monthly. The monthly balance does not change based on holidays, seasons, absences or number of weeks in each month. Students may pay off their yearly balance early at any time.

Due Date Options for Monthly Tuition
Monthly tuition is expected on the 1st or 2nd Saturday of every month. Tuition may also be split between 1st and 3rd Saturday or 2nd and 4th Saturday. Students may also pay off their yearly balance early at any point in the year, or opt for four quarterly payments.

Payments Options
Monthly tuition is due on the scheduled dates agreed upon when you begin. Payments can be submitted via Venmo, Zelle or PayPal and auto-pay is encouraged. Any changes to the tuition schedule require advance notice, as this alters the student agreement.

Missed Sessions
Missed lessons do not roll over into the next tuition period. Sessions must be made-up within the same tuition period, even if your missed session is in the last week of the month, so try not to miss them and plan ahead when possible!

Cancellation Policy
Cancellations are accepted up to the night prior to your scheduled day/time without being considered “late”. When canceled within this timeframe, make-up sessions may be scheduled within the same monthly tuition period, if there is availability, at no additional cost.
It will be the student’s responsibility to reschedule a missed lesson within the calendar month and will be skipped it there is no availability.

Studio Breaks
Breakthrough Vocals takes 2 weeks off in summer. I also provide students with 2 flex weeks they can take off anytime they wish, with 2 weeks notice (you cannot use these flex days to cover no-shows or same-day cancelations). These weeks off are built into your payment schedules, as your yearly tuition is based on 48 weeks of provided services. If students do not use their flex days by December 20th, they are automatically applied at the end of the year for a longer break at Christmastime.

Extended Breaks
If students plan to take up to 2 weeks of vacation, we can easily reschedule sessions within the same tuition period, as long as I have enough notice (2 weeks preferred).
Taking 3 weeks off during a tuition period is a little more tricky and will require 30 days notice to work that out appropriately.
If you plan to take a break longer than 3 weeks, please also provide 30 days notice.
You may use your 2 flex weeks. For example; If you want to take 4 weeks off, use the two flex weeks and then you only have to make up 2.
Please note: If a student takes more than 30 days off, (for example; the entire summer quarter) 30 days notice is required. If you cannot provide a 30 day’s notice, tuition will be expected at your regularly scheduled time, no exceptions.

Goodbye For Now:
Students must provide 30 days notice if they are ready to quit services with Breakthrough Vocals. Continued tuition throughout the following 30 days after notice is given is acceptable when when students must quit on short notice. 
Students who are on individualized or legacy payment agreements understand their agreement ceases upon cancelation of services. Should you decide to return at some point in the future, you may do so at current tuition rates.
